i think im going to add this to my "waking up jamz " compilation. it's a perfect morning song to ensure you dont go messin around rising on the wrong side of the bed. listen to it, all jaunty and cheerful. it's called "the heroic concerto" - it doesnt sound heroic to me - it just sounds like marching in place while i brush my teeth - saluting myself in the medicine cabinet mirror. the only other rodrigo piece ive heard is the concierto de aranjuez - minor key, adagio, flamenco guitar - it's music to walk across the desert to, with like vultures circling over head.

and this little gem was my favorite thing i saw on the internet yesterday. i wonder if the irony was lost on them... "turn it off!" -- "i cant!"
